Yesterday I went to the American Women’s Association’s Christmas Bazaar. I have never been a member of the Association, but Leah has and still gets emails from them. Which is good for me because she then forwards them to the school, and I get to see all the cool things going on. Their poster for the event had the enticing sub heading: American Food.
Yum.
So, of course, the first thing I did was head straight for the food table and splurge 20 euros on goodies from home: candy canes, fudge brownie mix, grape jelly, Christmas Hershey’s Kisses, and Bisquick pancake mix. There were a ton of other things, but my budget could only go so far…
There were other things going on too, used clothes, crafts, a raffle, and even Santa Claus taking pictures with the kids!
I had never been before, but I think I will make it a yearly visit. They money goes to charity – AND I decorated my tree with candy canes this year!!

What? You can’t get candy canes in the stores in Italy? I will have to stock up here in BC before our first Christmas in Sicily!
