This morning I got a package in the mail. It was from a friend in Canada. I opened it up and it was not a Christmas present, but a birthday present! I don’t even want to know the roads it travelled to get to me…
Anyway, the first thing I saw was this:
Anyone who would choose that card certainly knows me well.
But then I saw this:
And as I read it tears came to my eyes. And not only tears of embarrassment from those awful high school pictures she dug out of the woodwork but because I realized just how amazingly lucky I am.
Sometimes I let myself get down and get depressed and feel that I have been unlucky in life. But, in fact, I have been truly blessed. Did you ever here that rhyme:
Boyfriends come and go but friends are forever.
Well in my case it is true. I have had friends come and go, some I’ve lost touch with over the years but there are some who have been so amazing and are such an active part of my life even though we are continents apart that I consider myself a lucky woman indeed!

You reap what you sow. You are a good person and so it should come back to you tenfold and it does
luck runs out eventually but good friends that you water like precious flowers will always bloom.

I have several friends like that, but one in particular I know will stand next to me no matter what. Those kind of friends are golden.
