My dearest friends and readers,
Welcome to my “new” blog!
As you can see, the poll has been closed, the decision made: 82% of you have decided that the blog should stay here and change name. So be it.
Upon reflection, debate and a good suggestion by a friend, the blog’s name will now be changed to British Diaries. Not very original, I know (but, to be frank neither was ‘A Canadian in Italy’), but that is just what this blog will be. A public diary of my adventures in the land of Her Majesty.
To be honest, I am pretty happy that the majority of you decided that the blog should stay put. In a way, life is a road, full of curves, switchbacks, hills, bridges and bumpy stretches – and a blog is the story of that road – so it is fitting that my adventures abroad should continue along the same road.
So be prepared for some randomness on fitting in, learning a new language (just wait), and general new adventure-ness.
And don’t think Italy will be left behind, wither, because whether I like it or not I am tied hand and foot to that country, so it is sure to catch up with me sooner rather than later!
