About A Canadian in Italy
About ten years ago I moved to Italy to come study. I have never left. I miss Vancouver, very much and hope to go back home one day, but I am living a unique experience that many envy.
I have a passion for photography, and what better subject than Italy! I started this blog so that I could share my experiences with others: other photographers, expats and people just wishing to learn more about Italy and/or photography.
I love to explore and explorers like to record. I have chosen photography and now writing. I like the idea of putting these two passions together. Hopefully we can make this journey together, enjoying, learning and growing along the way.

I think a newcomer does tends to see things from a fresh viewpoint – especially the great things we end up taking for granted when we live in a place.
These explorations are great – I’m salivating! – makes me want to visit the place!

Yes, I AM very envious indeed… But there is only one thing to do about it, and that is for me to “do something about it”!!

This is great! I’m a young Italian living in Canada!!!! I moved 5 years ago!
I really think we should share our blogs in our blogrolls… and keep in touch!
I like your blog, and I write about me life here!
I just wrote “10 things I don’t understand about Canada” and “Things you probably don’t know about Italy”. I would love to have your comments!
But I’m sure you will find lots of post you can enjoy!

Elena, thanks for your visit – as I wrote on your blog, it is great to see a different point of view on my country! Where are you living in Canada? Keep in touch!

Elena, you have been the subject of our conversation after you article “FAKE ITALIANS’. I sort of agree with you, but since I know for sure who disagreed with you, you did not show the responses regarding your article. You have to confront with the people that take their time to discuss a point.
Good article e congratulazioni!

Gabriella -I’m afraid you’ve posted on the wrong blog! I never wrote an article called Fake Italians…and Elena is not my name

i found your blog surfing and i was immediately attracted by the title… I lived in Montreal for 3 years and half and I moved back to Italy in January. I miss Canada so much also if i am Italian and i love my country.
BTW, it is really nice to read your impression about Italy!

Thanks for visiting Damiana
I’m glad you like my blog. Yes Italy is a beautiful country, and has its ups and downs like all countries of course. It is a magical place
But Canada is wonderful too, but then again, I AM a little biased!
